When working with sellers, my goal is to help you prepare your property for an easy sell. My experience has taught me that there are no tricks or gimmicks that are productive. First impressions, timing, effective marketing, and most importantly pricing are what will bring a buyer to the table. Pricing tends to be the most difficult in this market, as the word "comparable" is an oxymoron in The High Country. In most cases, buyers are not shopping square footage, beds, baths, etc... They are looking for setting, character, & ambiance. My knowledge & experience from living here for two decades helps me to put value on property that a simple calculation cannot do. My wife & I have just finished a green renovation on our home here in the town of Boone and we have decided to put our money where our mouth is with this renovation. Some of the features include a Geothermal Heat Pump (57% reduction in price after tax credits), Spray Foam Insulation ($1500 tax credit), Low VOC Paints and Finishes, Local Woods, and Carpet made from Corn! Not only does our conscious feel good about these decisions, so does our wallet; utility bills are coming in very low. We know that we have made the right choices not only to raise our daughter Lucy in a healthy home, but also looking out for her future.
